For this project, I was tasked to select anything I had previously written and repurpose the same argument in a different genre with a different audience in mind. For my original source I chose a research paper I wrote investigating the consequences of dress codes on girls across the United States. I repurposed that paper into an opinion article for Time Magazine. I took what was written in an academic voice and made it personal, taking on the persona of a teacher who sees the effects of dress codes and the enforcement dress codes on her students. I was able to take the same stand as my original source, but with a different source of credibility.
